Monty's Landing - Waterfront Cottage - Harpswell

This delightful cottage is vintage Maine! A seasonal cottage with cedar shingles sits just above high tide line in Tide Mill Cove. Relax and watch the 10 foot tides ebb and wane while watching the setting sun across the bay. Watch flocks of eider ducks, terns, kingfishers go about their business with an occasional eagle and osprey flying by. For the fisher person, mackerel and stripers often enter the cove. The cove is wonderful for kayaking and paddle boarding and the water is warm for swimming (best at mid to high tide) although be aware of the tidal current. The cove has access to many of the islands of Casco Bay including Eagle Island, Horse and Flagg. Plenty of room for crafts, reading, puzzles or snoozing in the sun on the slate beach. Nearby are two delightful restaurants (Dolphin Marina/Estes) or catch a wide variety of cuisines in nearby Brunswick. Rental boats are available at Dolphin Marina for a day of fishing and cruising or a trip to Admiral Perry's Eagle Island.

The cottage offers a lovely deck area, with room for sunbathing. It has a fully stocked kitchen (including lobster pots) and an electric grill on the deck. Complete with a modernized bathroom with shower, 3 bedrooms (with queen, standard and twin beds) and living area with TV (Broadband), DVD player, radio/CD player and internet access. Cell phone reception is generally strong. A fire pit is available for toasting marshmallows.
